Job summary

NKC Health Obstetrics and Gynecology – Shoal Creek clinic is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant. As a CMA, you will support examinations and treatments, ensure efficient patient flow and deliver outstanding service.

You will assist providers, handle labs and referrals, maintain records, and manage patient communications. The role requires an accredited CMA program, certification or registration, and BLS; prior physician office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited medical assisting program.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through an accredited certification organization.
• 2 years of experience in a physician’s office setting, preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association.
• Basic office skills, patient-centered mindset, strong time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers to maximize patient flow by preparing patients for visits and performing procedures.
• Process orders, schedule labs/tests, and coordinate referrals with clear patient instruction.
• Maintain medical records and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
• Greet patients and perform registration, scheduling, and ambulatory care tasks.
