Job summary

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital & Clinics is seeking an LPN, CMA, or MA to join the Cardiology team. The CMA/MA roles include rooming patients, taking vital signs, performing EKGs, and assisting with cardiac testing, with charting in EMR. Full-time schedule is 7am–5pm, Monday–Friday, 80 hours per pay period.

Certified Medical Assistants may be eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. On-site training for CNAs transitioning to MA is available, with comprehensive benefits and PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care standards and safety protocols.
• At least 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• Current CMA/MA certification or registration; must be obtained within 6 months of hire; CNA pathway available on-site.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Perform EKGs and assist with cardiac stress testing.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Document in electronic medical records.

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Cardiology team!

Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) may be eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus

Position Summary

The CMA or MA unit supports providers in delivering specialized heart care. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, assisting with cardiac stress testing, preparing patients for exams and procedures, and documenting in electronic medical records.

HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. 7am-5pm. Monday-Friday

Experience/Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of patient care standards, clinical practices, and safety protocols
• Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare experience preferred
• Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire; preferred but not required
• CNAs are eligible to apply and will receive on-site training to transition into the MA role
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable CPR training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED
