Job summary

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse to join the PRIMARY CARE - DEWEY ST. CLINIC team. The CMA/MA/LPN provides direct patient care under supervision, rooming patients, taking vital signs, and preparing for provider evaluation.

Full-time position with benefits; $5,000 sign-on bonus for CMAs; PTO from day one; retirement plan with match. This is a community-focused role in Wisconsin Rapids.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited MA program preferred.
• Two to three years healthcare and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Review and document medical histories.

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our PRIMARY CARE - DEWEY ST. CLINIC team!

Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) may be eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus

The CMA or MA is a valued member of the clinic care team, performing a wide variety of supportive tasks throughout the outpatient continuum of care, including both clinical and non-clinical duties. This role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed medical professional and is primarily responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, reviewing and documenting medical histories, and preparing patients for provider evaluation.

HOURS: Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly

Experience/Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited MA program.
• Two to three years of healthcare and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable CPR training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the America Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
