UnityPoint Health is seeking a compassionate CMA/LPN/RN to join Walnut Creek Pediatrics in West Des Moines, IA. The role supports patient care, exams, treatments, and education across a busy clinical setting.

The position offers full-time hours with a weekend rotation and a comprehensive benefits package through UnityPoint Health. Prior outpatient experience and EPIC familiarity are beneficial, and clinicians may float to other locations as needed.

Formación

• Valid and current licensure/certification in RN or LPN or Medical Assistant programs.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (certificate, diploma, or associate degree).
• Registered Medical Assistant through recognized certifying bodies (NHA, AAMA, NCT, NCCT, NCMA, NAHP, AMT).
• Prior clinical or outpatient experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC system is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures.
• Room patients, record histories and vital signs, document in EHR.
• Administer medications, immunizations and treatments per licensure.
• Educate patients on health, medications and follow-up care.
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

Monday/Tuesday 8AM-5PM, Wednesday/Friday 7AM-4PM, Thursday 7AM-11AM

• Weekend rotation - Saturday or Sunday 8AM-12PM every 8-10 weeks (shift differential paid)

We are seeking a compassionate clinical professional to join our team. This position is open to Certified Medical Assistants (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), or Registered Nurses (RN). This clinical professional will provide support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education.

• Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

Valid and current licensure/certification in one of the following:

• Registered Nurse (RN) – Active/Unencumbered RN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice.
• OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Active/Unencumbered LPN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice.
• OR Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate’s Degree) required.
• Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:
• National Healthcare Association
• American Association of Medical Assistants
• National Center for Competency Testing
• National Certified Medical Assistant
• National Association of Health Professionals
• American Registry of Medical Assistants
• American Allied Health
• American Medical Technologists
• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC is a plus!
