Job summary

The Iowa Clinic seeks a dedicated pediatric nurse (CMA/LPN/RN) to provide high-quality nursing services for pediatric patients. The role supports four award-winning pediatricians, performing assessments, triage, and care planning in a standard daytime schedule.

Ideal candidates hold an Iowa RN, CMA, or LPN license, demonstrate strong communication, and enjoy working in a collaborative clinic environment that values compassion and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses and treatments.
• Exceptional patient skills and ability to document care.
• Effective communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing services for pediatric patients across multiple physicians.
• Assess patient care needs and document findings.
• Take vitals, triage, and assist providers with care plans.
• Schedule aligns with standard clinic hours (Mon-Fri).
• Ensure compassionate, patient-centered care and collaboration with team.

A day in the life…

Wondering what a day in the life of anCMA/LPN/RNin Pediatrics at The Iowa Clinic might look like?

• Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Providing professional nursing services for patients to 4 award winning pediatricians!!
• Conducts comprehensive assessments of patient's care needs
• Room patients and take vitals
• Assists provider(s) with patient triage, identifies nursing diagnoses or problem lists and formulates an initial plan of care based on assessment data
• Spend enough time with your patients to listen to them and get to know them
• Participate in a department potluck or team building activity over lunch
• Visit The Iowa Clinic intranet to see what volunteer opportunities are available to you this month and read what is happening around the clinic
• Return patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued and cared for
• Leave in the evening – hooray for working standard clinic hours!

Required Licenses
