Job summary

Prevea Health in Wisconsin is seeking a CMA/LPN to join our team for a 30-hour-per-week role focused on pre-visit planning, rooming, and assisting with procedures. The position includes discharge instructions and both administrative and clinical tasks under the direction of a medical provider.

The successful candidate will have completed an approved MA or LPN program, with hands-on patient care experience, and strong skills in communication and EMR usage to support efficient patient visits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program.
• Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient care experience as a MA/LPN obtained through professional MA/LPN work experience or completion of student clinical rotations.
• Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
• Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

Job Summary

30 hours per week, CMA / LPN required. This position is responsible for pre‑visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and carries out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. The role is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient’s visit.
