Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls, ID is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse to support physicians with patient care, scheduling, chart management, and routine testing. The role includes ordering, inventory, and cross-training in lab and radiographic duties.

Qualifications include CMA license or CMA coursework, BLS, RN or LPN degree with related certifications and English communication skills. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Health Sciences program or higher.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid CMA certificate/license.
• RN degree with BLS; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• LPN degree with IV therapy and drug administration certifications within 60 days; BLS/ACLS/PALS as above.
• LPN may substitute PEARS for PALS.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage charts.
• Perform routine testing and CLIA-waived moderate testing.
• Provide patient information and direct/indirect patient care.
• Communicate with providers, nurse manager and co-workers; respond to clinical changes.
• Perform inventory and ordering responsibilities; cross-train in clinic duties (lab rapid assays, reception, radiographic studies).
