Job summary

CAN Community Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) I to support front desk operations, phlebotomy duties, and clinical care in a full-time day shift. A sign-on bonus is offered for applications submitted by August 31, 2026.

Pay ranges from $23.27 to $26.76 per hour, with generous PTO, holidays, training, health and retirement benefits, and tuition reimbursement. The role requires CMA certification or eligibility within 6 months, CPR, and a high school diploma, with bilingual

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA) is required or ability to achieve within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification required.
• 1+ year of clinical experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Must have valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical intake procedures including vital signs and history.
• Performs complete patient evaluation and assessment.
• Records and reports on symptoms, reactions, treatments and changes in patient’s conditions.
• Performs phlebotomy and immunizations as directed by the physician.
• Front desk duties: greet patients, process payments, verify insurance, schedule appointments.
