Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assisting degree or appropriate training.
• CMA or RMA certification with 90 days of hire after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Greets and prepares patient for visit or procedure.
• Obtains vital signs and weighs patient.
• Updates problem and medication list at visits.
• Assists in procedures requested by the medical provider.
• Performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Maintains sterilization of instruments.
• Makes referral and prescription calls as per orders.
• Refills prescriptions per protocol.
• Screens calls including emergencies.
• Ensures all release and consent forms are signed.
• Performs lab testing according to protocols.
