Job summary

CAN Community Health Inc. is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Florida. This full-time, day-shift role includes front desk support and phlebotomy responsibilities, with extended hours on a bi-monthly rotating schedule.

Compensation ranges from $23.27 to $26.76 per hour based on experience. The organization is known for patient care for individuals affected by HIV, Hepatitis C, STI’s, and other infectious diseases, with strong mission and values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required or eligibility within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification required.
• 1+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical intake procedures including vital signs and history.
• Performs complete patient evaluation and assessment.
• Records and reports on symptoms, reactions, treatments and changes in patient’s conditions.
• Performs immunizations as directed by the physician.
• Phlebotomy duties including venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Front desk duties: greet patients, collect payments, verify insurance, schedule appointments.
