Job summary

Alliance Spine and Pain Centers is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Marietta location. You will work alongside top providers, performing pre-op and clinic duties in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have at least 6 months experience in a medical office.
• CPR AED certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for visit by directing them to the Pre-Operative area, providing gowns and appropriate instruction, and collecting samples.
• Explain the reason for the visit and obtain appropriate consent.
• Collect and record vital signs and medical history; report abnormal values.
• Assist nurse in preparing prescriptions and entering documentation in the EMR.
• Document and maintain workflow in the patient’s EMR.
• Maintain pre-operative area with supplies and equipment.
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room and to their vehicle when necessary.
• Clean and sanitize all pre-operative and PACU rooms at day end.
• Restock ASC rooms with supplies.
• Make post-operative calls to patients as required.
• Respond to patient calls via Telephone Encounter.
