Bon Secours Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for Starbright Family Medicine to deliver direct and indirect patient care under a physician, document patient needs, and support examinations and medications. The role requires performing rooming tasks, taking vital signs, and assisting with procedures to ensure efficient workflow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, MA certification, BLS, and the ability to multitask in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA or ABR-OE accepted in some states.
• BLS/CPR certification required at hire (or preferred prior to independent patient care).
• Completion of an accredited MA program preferred in most states.

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history and vital statistics in medical records.
• Interview patients to obtain information and measure vital signs.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Collect specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Provide prescription and drug refill information to pharmacies as directed.
• Explain treatment procedures and instructions to patients.
• Maintain instruments, sterilize equipment, and support routine laboratory tests.
• Handle general office duties and assist physicians during examinations.
