Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for Starbright Family Medicine. The MA will support providers with patient care, take vitals, prepare exams, administer medications, and maintain documentation in a fast-paced family medicine setting.

Ideal candidates hold an MA certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA) and a post-secondary MA program completion with strong communication and attention to detail. High School diploma required; state-specific MA requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred in most states.
• Active Medical Assisting certification required (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA).
• Practices within MA scope and state guidelines.
• Experience with vital signs, injections and specimen collection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under provider supervision.
• Record patient medical history and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist during visits.
• Administer medications as directed by physician.
• Collect specimens and perform basic lab tests.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and teamwork.
