Job summary

Northgate Park in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to provide safe medication administration and compassionate resident care in a warm, family-like environment. You will administer meds, document on MAR, assist with daily living activities, report changes to the Wellness Director, and collaborate with the care team to promote dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing for Medication Aide.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Be in good physical health and able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Criminal background check and drug testing required.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers or assists with medications per physician order.
• Documents meds on MAR and ensures accuracy at shift end.
• Conducts change of shift reports.
• Maintains medication cart security and narcotics handling per policy.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, hygiene, etc).
• Observes changes in residents’ condition and reports to Wellness Director.
