Job summary

Avir at Lufkin is seeking a Certified Medication Aide in Texas to join our compassionate care team. You will assist with medication administration, monitor residents, and document care in line with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Currently certified as a Medication Aide in the state of Texas.
• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred, especially long-term care or assisted living.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication administration, including accurately calculating and preparing medications, and maintaining accurate records
• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as feeding and toileting
• Monitor and report any changes in resident condition to the nursing staff
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, including ensuring that all infection control protocols are followed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document all care provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures
