Job summary

Avir at Hearne in Hearne, TX seeks a Certified Medication Aide to deliver safe resident care in our long-term care community. You will support medication administration under licensed nurses and help with daily living activities.

This role emphasizes accurate documentation, teamwork with the healthcare staff, and compassionate companionship to residents. A CMA in Texas with BLS is preferred, with 4 months to obtain if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Texas CMA certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the administration of medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition, vital signs, and medication reactions.
• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating, mobility, and hygiene.
• Document resident care and medication administration in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a positive and dignified living environment.
