Physicians East is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant – Clinical Coordinator I to join the Arlington hematology/oncology team in Greenville, NC. This full-time role supports providers, prepares exam rooms, takes vitals, and assists with procedures to ensure efficient patient care.

Applicants must have an accredited associate degree in Medical Assisting with current certification (AAMA/NHA/RMA). EMR experience and strong communication are essential, with some overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree Medical Assistant program and current certification.
• Experience in electronic medical records (EMR) software.
• Professional demeanor and privacy awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers during office visits and procedures as needed.
• Prepare exam rooms and record vital signs and health history.
• Record medications, allergies, labs in the EMR and coordinate care.
• Assist with Pap Smears, immunizations, prior authorizations, and referrals.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and notify patients of results.
• Coordinate referrals to other departments and clinics as directed.
