Job Purpose:

To set up and administer medications under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse, and to function as a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) when needed.

Shift Availability:

Weekend only: 7AM-10PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Medication Administration: Prepare, administer, and document medications following accepted practices and regulations under supervision of a Licensed Nurse.
• Personal Care & Nursing: Assist residents with daily activities, recreation, meal preparation, and recording food intake. Follow care plans, report changes, document care, and report incidents.
• Safety & Infection Control: Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control policies, including proper hand hygiene and PPE use.
• Education: Attend orientation and required training, complete online education as mandated.
• Resident Rights & Relationships: Promote residents' rights, maintain professional relationships with residents, visitors, and regulators.
• Support Functions: Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Staff Development: Participate in training, staff meetings, and assist with staff orientation.
• Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical & Sensory Requirements:

Work in a climate-controlled environment, with exposure to infectious diseases, noise, and odors. Must be able to walk, reach, bend, lift, communicate effectively, and remain calm under stress.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) in good standing with the State.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and work cooperatively with staff.
• Must maintain regular attendance and perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
