We Are Hiring
  • Department: Float Pool
  • Schedule: Full Time Days, 40 hours per week; hours vary depending on the department.
  • Facility: Ascension Medical Group
  • Location: Evansville, IN
What You Will Do

Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the supervision of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).

  • Assist with treatment ordered by the provider, performing select clinical duties under supervision.
  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, record information on patient charts, and prepare treatment rooms.
  • Perform basic clerical duties such as answering phones, maintaining records, and filing.
  • Manage supplies by ordering and stocking, and help maintain a clean environment.
  • Document encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as provided by the provider. Transcribe orders for labs, radiology, and medications.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Medical Assistant (Registered) or Certified Medical Assistant obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire or transfer.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalency, or 1 year of relevant experience. Licensure or certification may substitute for education or experience if applicable.
