Job summary

Eaton’s Vehicle Group division in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Clutch Lead Operator for the day shift. The role involves assembling clutch components and leading a team in automated environments. Pay starts at an hourly rate with increases at 6 months and 1 year, with standard hours from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM.

Responsibilities include training assemblers, coordinating changeovers, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring safety and quality compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Prior experience assembling clutches or other automotive assemblies required.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis from floor to waist.
• Able to stand for up to 9 hours, with scheduled breaks.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble clutch components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies from specification sheets, drawings, and work instructions.
• Be able to work safely around automation including fully automated & collaborative automation cells.
• Direct and train assemblers in your assigned area.
• Assist your supervisor with Tier meetings, Engineering Trials, Continuous Improvement events, and other activities.
• Plan assembly line flow to meet daily requirements including changeovers and tool provisioning.
• Perform minor and preventative maintenance in assigned workstations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report safety or quality issues.
