Job summary

Open Sky Community Services seeks a Clubhouse Support Staff member to facilitate participation in Clubhouse activities and assist members in finding meaningful employment. You will lead activities, encourage engagement, and help members connect with the community.

The role involves coordinating transportation, recruitment, scheduling, and upkeep of the unit, with emphasis on upholding the Fountain House Model and promoting inclusive services in Central Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience working with individuals living with persistent mental health conditions preferred.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate participation in Clubhouse activities across Work Ordered Day, Employment, and Social Programs.
• Lead activities and encourage active participation; support members in learning new skills and connecting to the community.
• Assist members in accessing transportation and coordinating unit activities such as recruitment, scheduling, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Market the Clubhouse to inactive members, businesses, and community members.

Open Sky’s Clubhouses are a member of the Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition, an organization comprising 33 clubhouses throughout the Commonwealth and is a community dedicated to the rehabilitation of adults recovering from mental illness. Through a variety of meaningful and engaging tasks, members have the ability to develop or refresh employment skills, explore educational opportunities, and participate in social activities.

The Clubhouse Support Staff facilitate participation for all aspects of the Clubhouse among members, including Work Ordered Day, Employment, Supported Education, and Social Program. They also lead activities and encourage active participation among members, assist members in finding meaningful employment and support individuals as they learn new skills and connect to the community.

Other Key Responsibilities:

• Will be trained on and will uphold the philosophy and concepts of the Fountain House Model.
• Assist members in accessing transportation and/or provide needed transportation.
• Coordinate operational activities in the unit including member recruitment, scheduling, cleaning, maintenance.
• Market the Clubhouse to inactive members, businesses, and other community members.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, required.
• Experience working with individuals living with persistent mental health conditions, co-occurring disorders and/or lived experience, preferred.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and being open to new opportunities.

Pay Range:

$20.00-$22.48
