Job summary

Tidelands Golf & Country Club in Larose, LA is seeking an experienced Clubhouse Manager to lead daily operations of the clubhouse, bar, and restaurant. You will supervise staff, manage inventories, handle sales reporting, and ensure exceptional member service and safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and regulatory compliance knowledge, as well as the ability to coordinate events and communicate with members and Board members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous management experience, plus retail sales experience and restaurant/bar service experience including food preparation are preferred.
• Advanced addition and subtraction skills and advanced computer skills are required.
• Friendly personality with the ability to supervise and delegate duties to employees.
• Adaptive and critical thinking skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close clubhouse as scheduled.
• Greet members and guests at the door.
• Assist members/guests with services and upsell when appropriate.
• Manage inventories in bar/restaurant and update menu options.
• Report maintenance issues to Clubhouse Chairman or Club President.
• Handle weekly/monthly sales reporting and secure cash/vendor receipts daily.
• Oversee food preparation to ensure quality
• Maintain internal controls for security of club assets
• Complete and approve time records for all employees and ensure delivery to payroll
• Manage weekly work schedules for clubhouse staff
• Oversee routine janitorial services in the clubhouse
• Enforce dress code for staff
• Communicate with members via email and social media
• Ensure regulatory compliance (permits/licensing)
• Coordinate changes in membership with Board/accounting and present new applications for approval
• Supervise clubhouse employees and report terminations/new hires
• Coordinate events such as reunions, gatherings, card socials
• Plan and coordinate monthly revenue-generating events
• Duties may change or be added as needed

Salary Range: $40,000.00 To $50,000.00 Annually

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Ensure clubhouse is opened and closed as scheduled
• Greet members and guests as they walk in the door
• Assist members and guests with services we offer ringing up sales within proper business center and upselling whenever appropriate
• Manage overall inventories in bar and restaurant, and update restaurant menu options as business dictates
• Manage any general maintenance issues with equipment or building and report to Clubhouse Chairman or Club President
• Manage all sales reporting requirements that go weekly/monthly to accounting office as well as securing any and all cash and vendor receipts at the end of each day
• Manage all food preparation ensuring quality product is served to members and guests
• Maintain general internal controls for the security and safety of club assets
• Complete and approve time records on all club employees and ensure time report gets to accounting office for bi-weekly payroll
• Manage weekly work schedules for clubhouse employees
• Manage routine janitorial services as needed in clubhouse which includes but is not limited to vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning of kitchen and bathrooms, front and back door glass, tables and bar area, ice machine and coolers, emptying garbage, etc.
• Manage dress code for all clubhouse workers
• Manage communications to members via email and social media accounts (Facebook)
• Manage regulatory compliance (required permits and licensing for individual employees as well as overall operations)
• Communicate to Board and accounting office any changes in membership and present any new membership applications to Club President or Clubhouse Chair for approval
• Responsible for overall supervision of clubhouse employees and required to report any employee terminations as well as hiring of new employees
• Responsible for coordinating events such as class reunions, family gatherings, card socials, etc.
• Plan and coordinate monthly revenue generating social events

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
