Job summary

TURN is seeking a Clubhouse Coordinator to engage members in all aspects of the unit and coordinate projects and activities within our clubhouse. This role supports transitions through TE, SE, IE services and champions the Clubhouse model.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid California driver’s license, and cultural competency; or a Bachelor's degree with four years in behavioral health. Proficiency with MS Office and EHR is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid CA driver's license and current auto insurance per contract requirements.
  • Cultural competency understanding required.
  • Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification required OR
  • Bachelor's Degree and four years of professional experience in the behavioral health field; knowledge of MS Office and EHR software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and involve members in all unit activities and encourage leadership.
  • Provide a wide range of work opportunities and partner with members as colleagues.
  • Encourage member participation in work ordered day and support a welcoming environment.
  • Adhere to the Clubhouse model in daily conduct.
  • Assist with Transitional Employment, Supported Employment, and Independent Employment.
  • Coordinate coverage and communicate with employers to maintain TE placements.
  • Support members in learning job tasks and navigating housing-related issues.
  • Assist with planning social activities and community outings.
  • Participate in supervision, training, and Clubhouse model learning.
  • Assist with data entry, attendance tracking, and program reporting tasks.
  • Perform kitchen tasks including cooking, shopping, cleaning.

Job Summary

The primary role of Clubhouse Coordinator is engaging members in all aspects of the unit and coordinating unit projects and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently engages and involves members in all aspects of the unit, including activity and work planning and encourages members to assume leadership roles within the unit.
  • Provides wide range of work opportunities to members and works side by side with members as colleagues.
  • Encourage member participation in the work ordered day and support a welcoming, inclusive environment.
  • Demonstrates an adherence to the Clubhouse philosophy/model in their daily conduct.
  • Assist staff in maintaining Transitional Employment (TE), Supported Employment (SE), and Independent Employment (IE) support.
  • Helps maintain Transitional Employment (TE) placements by coordinating coverage, communicating with employers, and supporting members in learning job tasks.
  • Conducts outreach to members who are absent or disengaged to promote ongoing participation and connection.
  • Assists members with a wide range of community living needs, including resolving issues with roommates, neighbors, landlords, and housing authorities; navigating the legal system; developing life skills; managing banking tasks with.
  • Assists with planning and facilitating social activities, holiday events, and community outings.
  • Participate in supervision, training, and learning opportunities related to the Clubhouse model and behavioral health.
  • Assist with data entry, attendance tracking, and program reporting tasks.
  • Assist with cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning, and other kitchen tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
  • Participate in scheduled program meetings.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
  • Cultural competency understanding required.
  • Either:
  • Valid Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification.

or

  • Bachelors Degree and four years of professional experience in the behavioral health field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.
