Northern Waters Casino is seeking a Clubhouse Bartender/Cook for Seasonal full- and part-time roles at our casino resort in Michigan. You will prepare beverages and food, take orders, stock and maintain bar and kitchen areas, and work with Pro Shop staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have bartending experience, are at least 18, and can pass background checks and mandatory training (TIPS, ServSafe). Benefits include golf privileges and flexible shifts.

EMPLOYMENT: Full and Part-Time (Seasonal)

PAY RATE: $13.00-$16.00Hour (Non-Exempt) D.O.E.

(Includes two free rounds of golf per week.You must schedule tee times through the Pro Shop)

DESCRIPTION:

Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for clubhouse barand golf course patrons. Interact with customers, take drink and food orders,prepare all drink and food orders and serve them. Prep and stock all bar andkitchen needs based on current menu offerings for both food and alcoholprograms. Communicate and work with Beverage Cart and Pro Shop attendants toensure guests’ needs are anticipated and always met.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparealcohol and non-alcohol beverages (including garnishes for mixed drinks) forthe clubhouse bar and patrons.
• Interactwith clubhouse bar customers to take, prepare and serve food and beverageorders.
• Shall be required toread, implement, and adhere to all NWCR Policies and Procedures, LVD GamingOrdinance, Tribal/State Gaming Compact, NIGC Minimum Internal ControlStandards, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, LVD Tribal Internal Control Standards,Title 31 Minimum Internal Control Standards, NWCR Casino Employee Handbook,Food & Beverage Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Mixall types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to order and by following avariety of recipes.
• Prepand produce all food menu items based on established recipes and cookingspecifications.
• Checkcustomer identification and confirm the legal drinking age is met.
• Complywith all food and beverage policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Handlesmoney, operates the payment collection system, and accurately makeschange.
• Completesnecessary documentation for refund requirements.
• Cleansk bar, kitchen, stocks bar and food items, and always maintains overallcleanliness.
• Washesbar glasses and any other bar and kitchen equipment.
• Complieswith all sanitary and safety requirements within State, Federal, Tribal, andProperty guidelines.
• Strictlyfollows serving guidelines to all guests with attention to intoxicatedcustomers; makes judgements regarding when to slow a guest down or cut themoff.
• Knowledgeof the bar and clubhouse food menu options to answer guest inquiries andrequests in a courteous and polite manner.
• Tracks/recordsinventory and maintains records regarding popular drinks/liquor/food that arein greatest demand.
• Providethe highest level of customer service to our guests (both internal andexternal) through active engagement and a positive attitude.
• Worksas a team to represent the Casino by demonstrating courtesy, respect, andsensitivity to the needs of patrons and other team members.
• Maintainsa high-level of personal hygiene routine to represent a clean and professionalenvironment.
• Maintaincleanliness, stocking, and upkeep of public areas in the Clubhouse Bar.
• Cleanand stock restrooms based off a set cleaning and monitoring schedule. Ensurebathrooms are kept clean, mirrors, sinks, floors, toilets and urinals. Ensurepaper towels and toilet paper are always stocked.
• Allemployees must be flexible and assume other responsibilities and tasks asassigned by management and as management deems necessary; this means fulfillingall other job duties as assigned.
• Flexiblewith scheduled shifts and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• To remain incompliance with Casino Regulatory policies and procedures, employees arerequired to attend all necessary meetings and training facilitated byManagement.
• 1.30– Drug and Alcohol-free workplace – including all areas on the Lac Vieux DesertGolf Course.
• Mustalways maintain a visible presence to guests and co-workers.
• Workwith Pro Shop staff to ensure the outside of the Clubhouse common areas areclean and look professional.

Skills & Qualifications:

MINIMUMREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basicmath skills to ensure accurate money-handling.
• Abilityto operate payment-collection system.
• Positiveand respectful attitude.
• Abilityto work with the public and in a team.
• Mustbe of legal age in Michigan (18 years old) to serve alcohol.
• Mustbe able to successfully pass TIPS training.
• Mustbecome ServSafe Food certified withing 90 days of employment.
• Must passbackground checks and other pre-employment screenings necessary to receive andmaintain a Gaming License.

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:

• One-yearof bartending experience.
• Completionof approved-bartender’s course.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS:

• Abilityto lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
• Abilityto push and pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Abilityto lift to 50 pounds.
• Abilityto use a dolly to transport heavy objects such as cases of soda/beer/food.
• Mustbe able to stand and walk for long periods of time – up to 90% of an (8) or(10) hour-shift.
• Mustbe able to work in a loud environment.
• Abilityto adhere to high standards of personal hygiene and grooming habits.
