Job summary

Salve Regina University is seeking a Soccer Coach to develop and supervise the team within institutional objectives and governing rules. You will instruct players, supervise practices and competitions, and build a competitive program while maintaining inclusive rosters and safety.

The role requires CPR/First Aid certification, a self-starter with strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certification required prior to first practice.
• Self-starter with problem-solving ability and independence.

Responsibilities

• Instruct student-athletes in soccer rules, fundamentals and team concepts.
• Provide supervision at practices and competitions on and off campus.
• Develop and implement practices to ensure a positive, competitive experience.
• Manage Fall and Spring seasons of about 6-8 weeks each.
• Maintain an inclusive roster while ensuring safety and quality.
• Meet with the Director of Recreation to evaluate roster, budget and schedule.
• Represent the university at recruitment events when needed.
• Adhere to university policies and ClubSport rules; report concerns promptly.
