Job summary

Kinston Country Club in North Carolina seeks a friendly and dependable Server to provide attentive food and beverage service to members and guests. You will support daily dining, banquets, and special events, creating a welcoming atmosphere while upholding the club’s service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, banquet, or country club service preferred; training provided.
• Excellent communication and a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to multitask and stay composed during busy service periods.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn menus, service procedures, and the POS system.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and events.
• Must meet age requirements for alcohol service where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly and provide courteous, professional service.
• Learn member names and preferences to tailor the dining experience.
• Explain menu items, daily specials, and beverage selections accurately.
• Take orders and enter them into the club’s POS system correctly.
• Communicate allergies and special requests to the kitchen and confirm instructions.
• Serve promptly, check back for satisfaction, and refill as needed.
• Monitor tables, clear dishes, and maintain organized dining areas.
• Process charges and payments accurately and verify member accounts.
• Set, clean, and reset tables; assist with opening/closing duties.
• Assist with banquet and special-event setup, service, and cleanup.
• Follow food safety and responsible alcohol service procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and service staff; protect member privacy.
