Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs Of Greater Milwaukee is seeking a Security Guard to help maintain a welcoming, safe, and secure club site. The role involves patrolling the building and grounds, locking unused areas, addressing hazards, and enforcing rules for visitors and members.

Strong communication with children, staff, and parents is essential, along with participating in required trainings and obtaining CPR/First Responder certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Security certification preferred.
• One year of security experience preferred.
• CPR and First Responder certification within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrate strong communication with children, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security of the club by patrolling buildings and grounds and ensuring unused areas are locked.
• Address irregularities such as suspicious individuals, hazards, and unsecured doors.
• Enforce rules for visitors and members.
• Maintain radio contact with security team and staff.
• Know activities in the building and reference club policies when guiding members.
• Direct members to proper program areas in the lobby.
• Participate in required trainings by the Club, County, State, and funders.
