Job summary

Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, MD is seeking a dining room attendant to assist in day-to-day serving tasks for members and guests. You will transport meals from the kitchen, set up dining areas, and ensure timely service with professionalism and a warm greeting.

The role requires adherence to club policies, ability to handle multiple orders, and physical endurance to lift up to 50 pounds. Participation in major events like Mother's Day, Easter, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to multi-task and comprehend multiple orders at any given time.
• Must have good communication skills including understanding and speaking English.
• Held responsible for working all major club events to include Mother's Day, Easter, Club Fireworks Event, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Able to meet the physical demands and responsibilities of the position, including standing, sitting and lifting/moving items over 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Complies with the club's policies and procedures as established in the employee handbook and uniform handbook.
• Performs related dining room set up tasks.
• Brings food from kitchen to dining room and serves to the members and guests.
• Clears soiled dishes as needed.
• Cleans all assigned work areas.
• Attends staff meetings including pre-service sessions.
• Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
• If in question, goes to management to review and handle the situation.
• Thank members and guests as they leave the club.
• Consistently follows all sanitation-related requirements, including those related to personal hygiene.
• Greet by name all members and their guests, with a smile and eye contact.
• Maintain professional behavior and appearance.
• Work all major club events (Mother's Day, Easter, Club Fireworks Event, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
• Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by the Restaurant Manager
