Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain seeks a Club Director for Blue Door Academy at White Oak Elementary, Cape Carteret, NC. This leader owns site performance, drives youth enrollment, and builds a strong school and family network.

You are an owner-operator: accountable for results, trusted by the community, and responsible for culture, safety, and program quality across operations, staff leadership, and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Youth Development, or a related field (or state licensing) for program lead.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in youth development, education, or human services.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience managing a professional team.
• Experience managing program budgets and operational compliance requirements.
• Preferred: Experience with Boys & Girls Clubs of America or a comparable youth-serving organization.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily site operations in line with Blue Door Academy standards.
• Ensure a safe, structured, and engaging environment that supports positive youth development outcomes.
• Track attendance, program participation, and member outcome data; use data to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain full compliance with licensing, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, coach, and evaluate all site-level staff.
• Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations.
• Manage site budget; monitor expenditures and submit accurate financial reports.
• Maintain facility safety, cleanliness, and operability; complete daily safety checks.
• Own the site's membership targets — actively recruit youth and monitor attendance trends.
• Serve as the primary relationship holder with school principals and families; engage the school community.
• Lead parent engagement events and community outreach initiatives.
• Represent Blue Door Academy in the broader community.
• Apply safety policies and emergency procedures; Mandated Reporter responsibilities; maintain records.
