Job summary

Providence Country Club is seeking servers to provide food and beverage service to members and guests. The role requires greeting guests, knowledge of the menu and wine list, and accurate billing.

You will serve courses, upsell daily specials, and ensure table hygiene while adhering to alcohol service laws. Two years of wait service experience is preferred; candidates should read, write, and perform basic math.

Qualifications

• Two years of comparable wait service experience preferred.
• Reading, writing and basic math skills required.
• Greet and acknowledge members and guests.
• Knowledge of wines and spirits.
• Ability to time the service of each course.
• Know members’ preferences and seatings.
• Know how to handle emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Set up side station and perform assigned prep work.
• Attend to members and guests upon seating.
• Distribute menus, answer questions and suggest items.
• Serve food and drinks courteously and handle bills.
• Coordinate with kitchen for orders and special instructions.
• Clear and reset tables between courses and at close.
• Present desserts and beverages as appropriate.
• Follow club policies for alcohol service and safety.
