Job Summary

Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adheres to liquor laws regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up assigned bars; stocks all necessary supplies including beer, wine, spirits, garnishes, and glassware.
• Maintains stock, prepares and stores garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure quality.
• Greets guests courteously.
• Takes and processes drink orders; mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes; practices portion control.
• Checks IDs for proper identification.
• Detects guest intoxication and acts accordingly, demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws.
• Handles cash transactions accurately and verifies charges.
• Secures beverage products, food, equipment, and cash.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Arranges bottles and glasses attractively.
• Washes and sterilizes stemware.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
