Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, the Club Ambassador is a relationship driven business development and account management role responsible for overseeing Member retention and harbor development/growth with a Member-first approach.The Club Ambassador is a cross-departmental liaison supporting Members, Captains, Member Services, Sales, Events, and Senior Leadership. Their mission is to elevate member satisfaction, drive local business development, and strengthen harbor-level engagement.The Club Ambassadors serve as the face of Barton & Gray within their markets, developing meaningful relationships with prospective Members, current Members, community partners, and other influential individuals and organizations.
Develop and execute a regional business development strategy designed to generate qualified membership leads and grow Barton & Gray's presence within assigned markets.
Serve as an active representative of Barton & Gray within the local community while proactively generating new membership opportunities through personal networks, referrals, local organizations, clubs, businesses, hotels, strategic partnerships, events, community engagement, and other relationship-driven prospecting efforts.
Own self-generated leads through the full sales cycle, including initial outreach, qualification, discovery, relationship development, hosting demo cruise, follow-up, objection handling, closing and onboarding.
Act as a liaison for Members within assigned harbor, including member experience opportunities and service mishaps in partnership with the Member Services team.
Maintain accurate and timely records of prospect activity, opportunities, Member relationships, and next steps within the Club's CRM and Internal Software.
Ensure product & hospitality consistency across all points of Member interaction including onboard, training, harbor activities, and more
Constantly evaluate Club locations within region and provide feedback to Locations Manager
Strategize yacht allocation and timing in conjunction with B&G Logistics Department to maximize member satisfaction within region
Evaluate all points of Day boating-Member interaction and provide recommendations for improving the Member experience
Lead efforts to identify & assist with opening of new harbors within Region of oversight
Actively coordinate, execute, and attend regional Member-events with assistance from B&G Brand Studio
Gain a deep understanding of Barton & Gray's Membership products, fleet, experiences, pricing, and value proposition in order to confidently represent and sell the Club
Stew as needed at the request of Members & Supervisor
