Job summary

Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, SD seeks a driven, team-oriented Associate Accountant to join a two-person accounting team. You will manage AR and AP, post transactions, and help improve accounting efficiency while upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field or equivalent work experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years accounting or bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, or financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and manipulation; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication in English.
• Ability to present information to diverse audiences; detail oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily sales reconciliations and posting of revenues and receipts.
• Maintain and reconcile cash drawers and prepare bank deposits.
• Process accounts payable and supplier invoices; resolve discrepancies.
• Post member payments and assist with account inquiries.
• Prepare and distribute monthly membership statements and reconcile credit card accounts.
• Assist Controller with monthly tax reports and financial statements.
• Identify process efficiencies and contribute to accounting policies.
• Attend staff meetings and support office operations as needed.
