Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Technical Engineer for a 3-month engagement in Lake County, Illinois.

The role involves placing Cloudflare in front of websites, configuring security rules, automating changes, safely switching traffic, and coordinating with application, security, network, and infrastructure teams. A candidate with 1–3 years IT experience, a Bachelor in Computer Science or IT/Security, and knowledge of web security, WAF, firewall, IaC, and CI/CD is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years IT experience.
• Bachelor of Computer Science (IT/Information Security) or equivalent certificates/work experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Mon-Fri 32–40 hours with weekend cutover support in some cases; 3 days on site / 2 days remote (local preference).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design, implementation, & operational support for WAF migrations to Cloudflare.
• Knowledgeable in tools and techniques supporting web security, WAF, firewall, IaC, & CI/CD pipelines.
• Coordinate Cloudflare solution deployment and support hypercare during cutover; monitor progress and escalate risks.
