Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced WAF Operations Solution Engineer to implement and manage web application firewall solutions for client applications. You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, respond to incidents, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to strengthen security posture, leveraging Cloudflare, Imperva, and Terraform IaC.

The role requires 3–5 years in security operations, a relevant degree, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in web application security operations, focused on WAF management.
Hands-on experience with Cloudflare and Imperva WAF solutions.
Proficiency with Terraform for automation of infrastructure.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management.
Bachelor’s degree in CS / IT / cybersecurity or related field.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to secure web applications.
Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
Monitor traffic and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
Analyze security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and remediation.
Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents.
Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
Support security audits and assessments, ensuring compliance.
Stay updated with emerging threats and security technologies.
Utilize Cloudflare and Imperva for implementation and management.
Leverage Terraform IaC to automate deployment and management.
Mentor junior engineers on WAF management and incident response.
