Description

As the demand for our services continues to grow rapidly we are forming a team to best position ourselves to deliver a service to the highest level, as expected at Apple. We handle both customer facing (external) and internal traffic which have strict privacy and security requirements. This is a team of software/systems/network engineers directly responsible for both customer facing (external) and internal traffic globally.- Ensure the highest level of up-time and quality of service to Apple’s customers through operational quality.- Design, maintain, and improve global production traffic infrastructure.- Ownership of reliability issues using a wide variety of tools.- Identify areas to improve service resiliency through techniques such as chaos engineering, performance / load testing, and game days.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of load balancing, service mesh, and edge deployments
• Familiarity with Networking, Security, Logging, and Application Monitoring
• Maintaining customer commitments
• Navigating the complexities of the business and service reliability
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to coach & mentor other ICs
• Degree in computer science, related field, or 10 years of equivalent work experience is highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications

• Developing in Go, Python, or similar programming languages

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
