Job summary
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Santa Clara seeks a Software Development Engineer for the EC2 Nitro local storage team.
You will build virtualized, hardware-accelerated solutions for EC2 disk instances at global scale, spanning from low-level hardware optimization to high-level frameworks. The role requires strong CS fundamentals, embedded concepts, and proficiency in C/C++, Java, Rust or similar in Linux, with experience in Linux packaging, version control, automated builds, and unit
Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 4+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
- 5+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 5+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Responsibilities
- Build virtualized, hardware-accelerated solutions for EC2 disk instances at global scale.
- Work across the full technology stack—from low-level hardware optimization to high-level frameworks.
- Contribute to product strategy and system design.
