Job summary

Lyntris, a defense technology company in Minnesota, is seeking a Systems Engineer to stand up and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting PLM software for DoD customers. The role requires 2–5 years of AWS experience on Red Hat and Windows, with Security+ and AWS certifications. Hybrid onsite work in St.

Paul, MN is preferred, with potential travel. The engineer will automate workloads with Ansible, manage databases (RDS Oracle/PostgreSQL), and ensure security, performance, and regulatory

Qualifications

• /Currently hold Security + certification./
• /Currently hold relevant AWS certifications./
• /Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or other engineering discipline./
• /Minimum two years of experience with AWS cloud services to host enterprise applications./
• /Experience managing Ansible playbooks./
• /Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Fleet Manager, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch./
• /Experience maintaining and optimizing performance of enterprise applications in the cloud./
• /Experience diagnosing networking related issues./
• /Experience managing Active Directory and AppStream./
• /Experience collaborating with AWS Technical Support./
• /Experience supporting virtualization environments./
• /Experience with installation/maintenance of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL/
• /Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8+ and Windows Server administration via CLI/
• /Strong communication, documentation, and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate security requirements into technical solutions.
• Plan, implement, and refine AWS-based infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost savings.
• Utilize Ansible playbooks for automation and secure applications with PKI, TLS certificates, and secure auth.
• Administer RDS Oracle and RDS PostgreSQL databases, including initial data seeding and performance tuning.
• Support installation and upgrades of PLM application software and apply security patches.
• Support rehosts/data refreshes on non-production environments.
• Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to maintain performance.
• Debug and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues.
• Develop and maintain environment infrastructure documentation.
• Maintain certifications in PLM, Cloud, and security platforms.
