Job summary

WorkScoop seeks an IT Specialist to support infrastructure automation software, hardware, and management tools at two locations: Woodlawn, MD and Durham, NC. Telework is eligible, but onsite presence is required 75% of the time as part of a direct hire appointment.

The role requires expertise in Linux, WebSphere, and Kubernetes, with implementation, testing, and integration responsibilities across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and modify Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x–9.x.
• Administer WebSphere Application Server, Deployment Manager, WebSphere MQ and Kubernetes namespace administration.
• Assist in strategic planning, operation, and maintenance of the agency's IT infrastructure.
• Support continuous operations, monitor storage, network assets, and technology services.
