Recruitment & Marketing Coordinator at the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor

The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is looking for a Cloud Systems Administrator to join the Information Technology Division.

As part of our team, you will get to:

• Manage IaaS and PaaS systems
• Monitor and remediate unauthorized activities
• Identify and mitigate potential threats, system vulnerabilities
• Assist with the OSA's disaster recovery and business continuity plan
• Maintain acceptable configurations and identify deviations
• Maintain compliance to legislative requirements, internal OSA policies, and State directives
• Manage other special divisional projects and initiatives as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

• Documented experience managing virtual machines, including vulnerability and patch management
• Documented experience with cloud platforms including IaaS and PaaS
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure best practices, security, scalability, and performance
• Proven ability to provide timely detection, identification, and alerting of possible attacks, intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities
• Working knowledge in developing, documenting, and maintaining processes, procedures and standards

Management Preferences:

• Working knowledge of telecommunications or network communications protocols, network architecture and software
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Suite

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related IT field or related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of progressive experience in IT Security or closely related area

Associate degree in computer science or a related IT field or related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of progressive experience in IT Security or closely related area

An equivalent combination of education and experience
