Job summary

Crusoe Energy Systems LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Cloud Storage team to lead storage strategy development and drive performance improvements in our cloud storage infrastructure.

You will work on storage features, from bare metal to user-facing APIs, collaborating across product and engineering while ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions. A strong background in distributed storage and programming is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and operating large-scale distributed cloud storage infrastructure.
• Knowledge of full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, and operations.
• Experience with at least one language such as Java or Go; IaC tooling like Terraform; Linux systems internals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering to define and execute storage features on the roadmap.
• Write and deliver sustainable software; contribute to design docs and rollouts across the stack.
• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Foster teamwork and continuous learning within the team.
• Lead cross-team initiatives such as tech talks and open source projects.
