Job summary

My3Tech in Jackson, Mississippi, seeks an experienced Cloud Architect/Engineer to design, secure, and optimize scalable IAAS/PAAS platforms; onsite 12-month contract. You will migrate on‑prem workloads to public clouds, implement automation, manage VM fleets, and ensure data protection.

Ideal candidates have hands-on in AWS/Azure/GCP, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), VPCs, firewalls, Windows Server/AD and Linux; government or regulated industry experience is a plus.

Job description

Location: 200 North Street, Jackson MS 39201 (ONSITE)

Duration: 12 months contract

Description: Develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms. Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy. Moves existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms safely. Monitors and analyze cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools. Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Proficiency in major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with automation and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of cloud networking, virtual private clouds (VPCs), and firewalls.
