Job summary

Da Vinci Software seeks a Cloud Specialist to architect and optimize scalable IAAS/PAAS solutions in a public cloud environment. You will migrate on-prem workloads to cloud platforms, enforce security controls, and monitor performance to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, scripting skills, and strong OS administration across Windows and Linux. Must be onsite in Jackson, MS and operate as a W2 employee.

Qualifications

• Experience with major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficient in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Understanding of cloud networking, VPCs, and firewalls; strong VM management and OS admin skills.

Responsibilities

Overview:

We have a client looking for a Cloud Specialist.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Develops and modifies scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and platform-as-a-service (PAAS) platforms.
• Ensures the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy.
• Moves existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms safely.
• Monitors and analyzes cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.
• Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with automation and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of cloud networking, virtual private clouds (VPCs), and firewalls. Advanced VM management, Windows Server/Active Directory, and Linux administration.

Preferred:

• Preferred skills/experience 5–6+ years working with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Prior government or regulated industry experience.
