Summary

Blue Sky Innovative Solutions is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to lead strategic cloud adoption and migration efforts in support of federal initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of hybrid cloud environments, federal security frameworks, and enterprise-level transformation strategies.

The Cloud Solutions Architect will be responsible for crafting and executing cloud migration strategies, assessing workloads for cloud readiness, and recommending technologies aligned with specific business needs. The role includes engaging in project intake assessments, release planning, and governance processes under the guidance of the Enterprise Architect. The candidate will also be expected to maintain the application portfolio and lead the development of secure, resource-optimized transition plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud adoption and migration strategy.
• Identify suitable workloads for migration.
• Conduct analysis on the use of the best technologies for specific business needs or projects.
• Participate in project intake assessments, release planning, and change advisory board meetings as directed by the Enterprise Architect.
• Maintain the Application Portfolio, ensuring it is current and accurate.
• Attend scheduled and ad hoc meetings with clients.
• Create detailed transition plans with milestones, resource allocations, and security considerations.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in solution development.
• AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
• Familiarity with CISA ZTMM and zero trust architecture.
• Knowledge of federal security standards and hybrid cloud strategies.

Education, Certification, Clearance

• Active DOE Q-clearance or Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
