Public Sector Cloud Solution Architect - (Contract / 6-12 Months)

Thunder Consulting is seeking a Solution Architect - Public Sector Cloud (Salesforce) for a contract position (6-12 months, with potential extension). This role is remote within the United States (WFH).

Job Summary: We help government agencies and mission-driven organizations modernize through Salesforce. As we expand our Public Sector practice, we need experts to deliver compliant, innovative cloud solutions using Salesforce Public Sector Cloud. The Solution Architect will lead pre-sales and delivery efforts, translating mission needs into scalable solutions, supporting technical strategy during RFx pursuits, and ensuring our solutions align with industry best practices and Salesforce strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical solutioning for RFIs, RFPs, and presentations focused on Salesforce Public Sector Cloud.
• Develop compliant and compelling technical narratives and architectures tailored to mission outcomes.
• Translate solicitation requirements into Salesforce capabilities, including OmniStudio, Public Sector Case Management, and Licensing/Permitting apps.
• Create LOEs, resource plans, and solution architectures in collaboration with delivery and proposal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing Salesforce solutions; 3+ years on public sector projects (Federal, State, or Local).
• 2+ years architecting solutions with Salesforce Public Sector Cloud, including recent work with OmniStudio.
• Experience supporting government contractors, SIs, or direct Salesforce Public Sector clients is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead technical strategy for RFI/RFP responses, including compliance mapping and narrative development.
• Strong knowledge of government procurement, delivery models, and Agile practices in the public sector.
• U.S. Citizenship and active or eligible for Public Trust or higher clearance required.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Salesforce certifications (Application Architect, System Architect, or Public Sector Solutions Accreditation) are preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce integrations (e.g., Mulesoft) and licensing scenarios are preferred.
