Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. seeks a Cloud Software Engineer to build mission-critical software for large distributed computing environments used by the Intelligence Community. You’ll be part of an Agile team delivering applications that run on massive compute clusters with high availability and mission focus.

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years in software development, strong Java/C/C++, UNIX/Linux experience, and active TS/SCI clearance. Certifications such as CKAD or AWS are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
• 5+ years in software development/engineering including lifecycle activities
• 4+ years in Java/C/C++ development
• 3+ years in software integration and testing
• 3+ years in UNIX/Linux development (Red Hat)
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field is highly desired
• Master’s degree may count as 4 years experience
• Degrees in Math, IS, Engineering or similar technical fields
• Certifications: AWS Developer Associate, AWS ML Associate/Specialist, AWS DevOps Professional, CKAD

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, maintain Java-based applications for large-scale distributed environments
• Participate in full Agile SDLC from requirements to sustainment
• Develop software that integrates with COTS and GOTS technologies
• Perform code reviews, architecture reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning
• Develop and implement automated test plans and scripts
• Support software integration and testing across complex distributed environments
• Deploy/manage software using IaC, automation, CI/CD
• Develop software in containerized/microservices architectures
• Monitor production systems and resolve issues
• Provide Tier III on-call support as needed
• Develop and maintain software for UNIX/Linux environments
• Collaborate with engineers, admins, cloud engineers, testers and stakeholders
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices
• Support continuous improvement of dev, deployment, testing and ops processes
