Job summary

RealmOne, based in Columbia, MD, is seeking a Level 3 Cloud Software Engineer to advance cloud research, development, and analytics across Windows/Linux environments.

You will design, implement, and operate scalable data analytics and DevOps solutions, including RESTful services and NoSQL workloads, while collaborating with engineers and system administrators on mission-critical projects requiring security clearance.

Qualifications

• Within the last 3 years, at least 1 year experience with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive, and/or Pig.
• Within the last 3 years, at least 1 year experience with HDFS.
• Within the last 7 years, at least 5 years' experience programming in Java, C, and/or C++.
• Within the last 5 years, at least 3 years in Windows or UNIX/Linux environments.
• Within the last 5 years, at least 3 years with OpenSource NoSQL products (HBase, CloudBase/Accumulo, BigTable).
• Within the last 3 years, at least 1 year for requirements analysis and OO systems.
• Demonstrated experience developing Restful services.
• Bachelor's in CS or related; substitutions allowed as stated.

Responsibilities

• Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services (requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, testing, and validation).
• Design and develop applications in Windows or UNIX/Linux environments.
• Develop Restful services and analytics for social networks.
• Document ontologies, data models, schemas, APIs, and data dictionaries.
• Configure, tune, and test CLOUDBASE across configurations (>200 node clusters).
• Work with COPILOT, PRESSUREWAVE, and R6 Cloud tools and maintain cluster performance with Nagios.
