Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer I to join our Seattle-area/Redmond team. You will own the lifecycle of code from design to deployment, contribute to scalable cloud-native services, and participate in on-call operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with Java, Python, C++, or similar languages, and apply data structures and algorithms while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features for millions of customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/Data Science or related STEM field.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate products and services for customers.
• Design and develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and cost-effective.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance development productivity and stay current with emerging technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD and on-call duties.
• Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring and troubleshooting production issues.
