Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Massachusetts seeks a Software Development Engineer I to own the full lifecycle of code from design through deployment. You’ll build scalable, cloud-native microservices, and contribute to high‑quality, measurable outcomes in a fast-paced, customer‑obsessed environment.

You will collaborate with Amazonians across disciplines, participate in code reviews, and work with robotics-related fulfillment technologies while embracing ownership and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with at least one general‑purpose programming language (Java, Python, C++, etc.).
• Experience with data structure implementation, algorithms, and OO design principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
• Design and develop scalable cloud-native, microservices in a large distributed environment.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain resilient distributed systems that are scalable and cost-efficient.
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD and on-call responsibilities.
• Demonstrate operational excellence by monitoring and troubleshooting production issues.
• Design, develop and test software interacting with robotics and cloud services.
