Job summary

Cyber B.A.T. is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance large-scale cloud systems for government missions. You will contribute across back-end processing, indexing, and analytics, applying Hadoop, MapReduce, and IR expertise in a fast-moving team environment.

The role demands deep cloud computing experience, real-time processing, and distributed systems design, with opportunities to impact critical missions using cutting-edge technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; four years with Big-Data cloud tech and/or Distributed Computing can substitute.
• Two years of Cloud/Distributed Computing Information Retrieval experience.
• One year of experience with Cloud BigTable, and one year with Cloud Distributed File System.
• One year of experience with complex MapReduce analytics and distributed frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data Cloud systems based on documented requirements.
• Design and implement software solutions for processing-intensive analytics and real-time systems.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document results.
• Oversee multi-node Cloud installations and ensure alignment with software development processes.
• Provide input on hardware/software trade-offs and reuse of COTS/GOTS in system design.
• Debug problems with Cloud-based distributed computing frameworks and architecture Cloud solutions.
